Former Asante Kotoko striker Abdul Fatawu Safiu was provided a vital assist for Trelleborgs FF as they defeated Ljungskile 1-0 at the Vangal Vallen in the Swedish Superettan on Sunday.
The Ghanaian international set up Erik Andersson in the 58th minute to score the only goal in the game as they picked all three points in the game.
Fatawu was introduced into the game in the 53rd minute to replace Niklas Vesterlund.
The intelligent attacker quickly established himself in the game with some thunderous moves and as a result grabbed a crucial assist to help his side seal victory over Ljungskile.
He was, however, booked in the 87th-minute mark of the game for unsporting conduct.
