Ghanaian forward Francis Kyeremeh was on target for FK Žalgiris in their Lithuanian Football Cup match win heavy over FK Panevėžys on Saturday.
The 24-year old talented striker was again at his quality best and scored this team’s first goal in the game in the 5th minute before Elhadji Pape Djibril Diaw doubled the lead after 16 minutes on the clock.
The away team, however, pulled one back through Justinas Januesvskij in the 44th-minute mark before the break.
FK Panevėžys’ team was reduced to ten men after Jorge Elias was sent off.
Back from break Hugo Videmont bagged braced in the 50th and 81st minute respectively after Jakub Sylvestr had extended had extended FK Žalgiris’ lead to 3-1.
After the full 90 minutes, it was FK Žalgiris who registered superiority over FK Panevėžys with an emphatic 5-1 victory.
Francis Kyeremeh has scored nine goals in 27 matches this season for FK Žalgiris in the Lithuanian top-flight.
