Ghanaian forward, Daniel Kofi Kyereh was named Man-Of-The-Match in FC St. Pauli’s 2-2 away draw on Monday evening to VFL Bochum in the German Bundesliga 2.
The Ghana attacker scored twice in the space of two minutes to lift his team from an opening day defeat in the German Second Tier.
The host scored first in the 26th minutes of the match through Robert Zulj to hand the home team a 1-0 lead before the break.
In the 76th minutes of the game with 14 minutes left to play, Simon Zoller netted the second goal for the host to go 2-0 up.
The 24-year-old Ghanaian striker Kyereh scored from close range in the 84th minutes of the match to reduce the away team’s deficit to one with six minutes left for the final whistle to be blown to make it 2-1 and hand the visitors some sort of believe of leveling before the game ends.
Two minutes later after his first goal, the Ghana striker snatched the equalizer for the host to make the score 2-2 with four minutes left to play.
The game finished 2-2.
Kyereh was then adjudged the games MVP after his brace secured a point for the visiting team who were on the verge of suffering defeat in their season opener against a difficult to break side Bochum.
The former SV Wehen marksman has two goals from one match for FC St. Pauli in the 2020-21 Germany Bundesliga 2.
