AFC Wimbledon have boosted their attacking options by bringing back Ghanaian international Michael Folivi for a second loan spell ahead of the upcoming season.
Michael, who helped the club to maintain their League One status with his impressive form in 2018/19, rejoins AFC Wimbledon on a season-long loan deal from Premier League club Watford.
Wally Downes said: “I am just really pleased to get Michael back and I’m looking forward to him joining up with the other strikers. He was a big part of what we did last season. Michael is a forward with a lot of pace who gets in behind defences. After having him here previously, we know that he has a great attitude and he puts pressure on defenders.”
A highly-rated forward at Watford, Michael was raised in Rayners Lane and joined the Hornets at the age of just 10. After scoring plenty of goals during his rise through the Watford Academy ranks, Michael travelled with the first-team for a match at Liverpool back in 2016 at the age of just 17 and he made his Premier League debut against Stoke City during that season.
Michael has had previous loan spells with Coventry City and Borehamwood, his goal helping the National League club into the play-off final at Wembley. The 21-year-old scored two goals in 11 appearances for Wimbledon last season and made a key contribution with his all-action forward displays.
The Ghanaian forward, will take the vacant number 17 shirt for next season.
