Ghanaian forward, Michael Sarpong scored the only goal for Young Africans SC in the Tanzanian Premier League on Saturday afternoon in the Kariakoo Derby.
The 24-year-old opened the scoring in the first half after 32 minutes following a spot kick to put the Yellow and Greens in a 1-0 vital lead before the interval.
The hosts withstand all the pressure mounted on them by Simba for larger part of the match but conceded a late equalizer to Joash Onyango’s as both teams has to settle for a point each in the frenetic derby.
Yanga SC are second on the league table with 24 points which leaves them a point behind first placed side Azam FC.
Sarpong has scored three goals in seven matches this campaign for the Tanzanian giants and undoubtedly his Derby goal would be remembered by the Yanga fans years to come.
