Ghanaian youngster Prince Obeng Ampem scored for Croatian powerhouse HNK Rijeka in the UEFA Conference League against Gżira United F.C. from Malta on Thursday evening.
The Ghanaian forward played full throttle for the Sky Blue and Gold outfit as they beat their opponents 2-0 on the road to take home advantage before the second leg in Croatia next week.
Denis Busnja grabbed the opening goal of the match to put the away team in the lead on the 57th-minute mark following a goalless first 45 minutes of the match.
Twenty minutes later and 13 minutes from full time, Ampem added the second goal to make it 2-0 to help his side secure a vital away win to bolster Rijeka’s chances of progressing to the next round of the competition.
