Ghanaian forward Raymond Asante has officially been presented as a new player of Patro Eisden Maasmechelen, as the club looks to reinforce its attacking department ahead of the business end of the season.
The 21-year-old striker makes the move from Sporting Charleroi, where he had been registered since 2025 and earned his first taste of top-flight football with appearances in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League. Prior to his spell in Belgium, Asante continued his development in Italy with Udinese, gaining valuable exposure to European football at a young age.
Patro Eisden head coach Stijn Stijnen welcomed the arrival of the Ghanaian attacker, expressing confidence in his ability to add depth and competition in the final third.
“Raymond will strengthen the competition in attack. We see a lot of potential in him,” Stijnen said, highlighting the club’s belief in the striker’s long-term prospects.
Asante could be handed his first opportunity in Patro colours in the upcoming Belgian Challenger Pro League fixture against Jong KRC Genk U23, a match that may offer supporters an early glimpse of his pace, movement, and goal threat.
His arrival signals Patro Eisden’s intent to sharpen their attacking edge as they push for a strong finish to the campaign.
