Ghanaian midfielder Brendan Sarpong-Wiredu was on target for Fleetwood Town as they were beaten at home by Oxford United at Highbury in Sky Bet League One on Saturday afternoon.
Wiredu, 23, put the Cods ahead with a brilliant finish towards the end of the first half but second half goals from Kyle Joseph and Ciaran Brown of Oxford gave the visitors the win.
The Ghanaian talented player so so far made 17 appearances in the ongoing 2022/23 English League One season for Fleetwood Town, scoring once and also delivering one assist.
