Ghanian midfielder Brendan Sarpong Wiredu provided an assist for Colchester United in their 2-1 home win against Scunthorpe United on Saturday in the English League Two.
Sarpong-Wiredu who was returning from injury set up Armando Dobra to net his team’s second goal after Freddie Sears had shot the hosts ahead in just fives minutes into the game. Harry Davis, however, scored the only consolation goal for the visitors.
The Ghanaian International was absolutely at his quality best as he bossed the midfield to help Colchester pick all three points in the game.
Sarpong who lasted the full duration of the game, took to social media to celebrate his side’s victory.

The 21-year old enforcer has so far this campaign made 13 caps for Colchester United.
