Colchester United central midfielder Brendan Wiredu has been by the English FA as the League 2 player pf the year for 2021.

The English born Ghanaian joined the fourth tier side in February 2021 and had a remarkable tear playing 51 games, scoring two goals and providing five assists.
This is the first time a Colchester United player has won the accolade and Wiredu has already been tipped for greatness.
The 22-year-old star formerly played for Bromley as well as Charlton Athletic.
