Ghanaian midfielder Carlos Ohene has been recognized for his exceptional performance in the Bulgarian First Professional League, earning a spot in Sofascore’s team of the week.
Ohene’s impressive display helped Levski Sofia secure a 6-1 victory over PFC Lokomotiv Sofia 1929.
The match saw Levski dominate from the start, with Ante Aralitsa giving them the lead in the 5th minute. However, Levski quickly responded with an equalizer in the 12th minute, thanks to Maicon’s assist to Alex Kolev.
Aldair then put Levski ahead with a fine individual goal in the 21st minute, and Ohene played a crucial role in the team’s third goal just before halftime. He initiated a quick counter-attack and passed to Jawad El Jemili, who scored with a left-footed shot.
El Jemili added his second goal just two minutes later, giving Levski a commanding 4-1 lead at halftime. The second half saw Levski continue to dominate, with Ohene scoring the team’s fifth goal in added time. Sangare then added a sixth goal in the 97th minute to complete the rout.
The match was briefly interrupted in the 76th minute due to a lighting issue at the Lokomotiv Stadium, but the teams quickly resumed play and Levski emerged victorious. Ohene’s outstanding performance will be remembered as one of the highlights of the match.
Levski Sofia will look to build on this momentum as they take on Botev Vratsa in their next league game.
