Ghana midfielder David Abagna made his first appearance for Petrocub in the Moldova top-flight. He recently joined the team, leaving his former club last week.
Abagna, a former player for the Black Galaxies, came to Petrocub on loan from Al Hilal, a team in Sudan.
In his first game, Abagna replaced Corneliu Cotogoi in the second half of the match against Balti. The score was 5-0, with Petrocub dominating the game. Maxim Petroniche scored first, and Vladimir Amros scored the second goal just before halftime.
In the second half, Amros scored again, and then he assisted Ion Jordan for another goal. Dan Puscas scored a late goal to secure the victory for Petrocub.
Abagna is expected to play an important role for Petrocub for the rest of the season. He joins Razak Abalora and Seidu Bassit, who are also from his home country, at the club.
