Ghanaian international midfielder, Isaac Twum is on the verge of leaving Norwegian team IK Start SPORTSworldGhana.com can reveal.
The former Inter Allies man could leave the club at the end of the season after his contract expiration date and his team has reached rock bottom to offer the Ghanaian a new deal due to financial difficulties.
Twum has played for a permanent place on the Start team, but is one of five players who are on an outgoing contract at the end of the season.
Although the Ghanaian has taken steps and plays his best football in the Start kit, there are many indications that he can leave the club for free when his current contract expires in the summer.
According to Fædrelandsvennen, there are financial reasons why his contract has not been renewed, and maybe Start will miss the services of the diminutive midfielder in the near future.
Ghana’s next challenge is a double showdown against Sudan in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in November and Twum hopes to make the list for those games to have an opportunity to cement his place in the Black Stars.
IK Start will come up against Kristiansund on 20 September in the Norway Eliteserien.
