English-born Ghanaian teen sensation Jesurun Rak-Sakyi scored for Crystal Palace U23s as they handed Premier League 2 Division 2 leaders Leeds United their first defeat in ten games on Monday.
Rak-Sakyi and Sion Spence were on target to fire Crystal Palace Under-23s to an impressive victory over Leeds United, who were reduced to 10 men during the match.
Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, after a quiet start, began to impose himself on the match in his step-up from the Under-18s, twice slipping in for Spence but each time the angle was too tight to convert.
The budding midfielder opened the scoring before Sion Spence added one later to seal the victory for Palace in the crucial game.
The goal secured an important victory for the young Eagles, inflicting Leeds’ first defeat in ten games and solidifying their position near the top of the Premier League 2, Divison 2.
Meanwhile, his compatriots Malachi Boateng and David Boateng also featured in the game for the Crystal Palace team.
Leeds United still leads the league table with 40 points after playing eighteen games while Palace are on the fourth position with twenty-six points in 17 matches.
