Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo has made a significant impact in the Swedish Allsvenskan, earning himself a spot in Sofascore’s Team of the Week for match week 13.
Baidoo’s outstanding performance helped his team, Elfsborg, secure a convincing 3-0 win against Brommapojkarna at the Borås Arena.
The midfielder was instrumental in the game, scoring a goal and providing an assist. He started the game and played for 85 minutes, playing alongside fellow Ghanaian and Elfsborg defender Terry Yegbe, who featured for the full 90 minutes.
Baidoo’s goal came in the 82nd minute, when he scored a right-footed shot from outside the box to the bottom right corner, assisted by Simon Hedlund.
The opening goal was scored by Elfsborg’s Simon Hedlund in the 30th minute, with Baidoo providing the assist. The final goal was scored by Eggert Gudmundsson in the 87th minute.
This is not the first time Baidoo has impressed this season, having already played 13 games, scored five goals, and provided four assists.
His performances have been crucial to Elfsborg’s success in the league.
