SV Sandhausen have officially announced the signing of Danish-born Ghanaian midfielder Nikolas Nartey on a one year loan deal from VfB Stuttgart.
Nartey, 20, was loaned to third division side Hansa Rostock last season and impressively greatly with his performance attracting interest from the technical handlers of the Sandhausen-based club.
The former FC Koln youth attacking midfielder expressed excitement after signing for Sandhausen.
” l am very happy to be in Sandhausen and to play for the SVS fans. My goal is to get a lot of playing time, to help the team and to constantly develop myself. Last season I followed the SVS as an intensive team that always gets everything out of the field. That fits my mentality, ” Nartey told the club’s official website.
Meanwhile, SV Sandhausen sporting director Mikayil Kabaca was happy with the signing of the Ghanaian budding midfeilder.
She says “Nikolas Nartey can be used flexibly in the middle of the field. We are very happy to have such a young and hungry player. When he was young, he already demonstrated the great quality he has. Many thanks also to VfB Stuttgart, without whom this loan would not have been possible,”
Nartey whose contract with VfB Stuttgart expires in June 2023, made 19 appearances for Hansa Rostock this season, scoring 1 goal with 4 assists to his name.
