Ghana’s midfield anchor, Seidu Yahaya scored his first goal of the season for FC Liepaja in the Latvia Virsliga against FC Tukums 2000 on Thursday evening.
The former Tema Youth box-to-box midfielder netted his first goal of the season after seven games in the Latvian top+flight.
Yahaya scored the opener on the night 23 minutes into the game to send the home team in front going into the break.
The 30-year-old Ghanaian central-midfielder joined the Latvian side in January 2020 after terminating his contract at Belarusian side Dynamo Misnk.
The visitors scored twice in the second half of the match to take the lead before the home team equalised late in the game to secure a 2-2 draw at home to the bottom side.
