Italian Serie C side SS Sambenedettese Calcio have formally announced the signing of Ghanaian youth midfielder Shaka Mawuli.
The 22-year old enforcer joins the Italian lower-tier side on a two-year deal with an option to extend for one year if he impresses the technical handlers.
Mawuli has joined the Sambs on a free transfer having following the expiration of his six months deal with fellow lower division side Ravenna FC last season.
He expressed excitement after signing the deal and promised to do his best to help the club achieve success.
“I am very happy to be able to wear this shirt” the 22-year-old told the Club’s official website
“It is splendid to arrive in such an important square: I thank the president, the director and the coach because they wanted me in this experience and I also thank my agent who advises me and who is always by my side,”
“I really want to make myself available both to achieve personal growth goals and for team goals. I am ready to give everything. I came to the Riviera delle Palme on February 16th, I saw an exceptional support with great enthusiasm and I can’t wait to play for this shirt.”
