Promising Ghanaian starlet Enoch Asante scored for Tottenham Hotspur in the U18 English Premier League to highlight his quality while Arsenal loanee Edward Nketiah came off the bench to power Leeds to victory in the English Championship.

There a hat-trick for former Birmingham City striker Akwasi Asante in the English lower-tier league while Charles Sapong, Myron Boadu and former Liberty Professionals player Brite Andoh all scored braces for their clubs.

Isaac Atanga, Emmanuel Sabbi, Ernest Agyiri, Terry Ablade, John Yeboah Zamora, Rodney Antwi, Robin Quaison, Patrick Twumasi, Benjamin Tetteh, Raman Chibsah, Abdul Safiu Fatawu, Gyasi Zardes, Solomon Asante and Francis Narh all registered goals for their clubs over the weekend.

Meanwhile Rabiu Mohammed and Kamal Issah were both sent off whilst in action over the weekend.

ENGLAND

Winger Christian Atsu assisted the opening goal for Newcastle United in their 3-1 away to Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday.

Defender Daniel Amartey is still out and missed Leicester City’s 1-0 loss at the Old Trafford against Manchester United.

Austrian international of Ghanaian descent Kevin Danso was suspended and missed Southampton’s 1-0 away win over Sheffield United.

Both Jordan Ayew and Jeffrey Schlupp started the game for Crystal Palace when they suffered a 4-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur.

Norway international of Ghanaian descent Alexander Tettey captained Norwich City to record a sensational 3-2 win over Manchester City.

Belgian international of Ghanaian descent Denis Odoi came off the bench to play for Fulham in their 1-1 draw with West Brom.

Middlesbrough claimed a 1-0 win over Reading and Ghanaian Andy Yiadom was in action for the losers.

Anotoine Semeyo came off the bench to help Bristol City when they defeated Stoke City 2-1.

Winger Albert Adomah was in action for Nottingham Forest who beat Swansea City 1-0 at the Liberty Stadium. Andre Ayew also played for the losers.

German-born striker Collin Quanor wasn’t in the Huddersfield Town squad for their 2-0 home loss to Sheffield Wednesday.

Arsenal loanee Edward Nketiah came off the Leeds United bench to score and power them to a 2-0 win over Barnsley.

Meanwhile in the League One, Fulham loanee Jerome Opoku played in lateral defence for Accrington Stanley in their 3-1 loss to Sunderland.

Elsewhere striker Kwasi Appiah was left on the Wimbledon bench while Watford loanee Michael Folivi came off their bench to play when they drew 1-1 with Shrewbury Town.

Former Crystal Palace midfielder Hiram Boateng climbed off the MK Dons bench in the 61st minute to play in their 3-0 away win over Blackpool.

Former Arsenal youth team goalkeeper Corey Addai was left out of the Coventry City squad for their 0-0 draw at Burton. Chelsea loanee Richard Nartey didn’t make the Burton squad for the game.

Midfielder Abumere Ogogo was in fine shape for Bristol Rovers when they beat Lincoln City 1-0 on Saturday.

Burnley loanee Daniel Agyei was unused by Oxford United in their 3-0 home triumph over Tranmere Rovers.

In the League Two, Leyton Orient managed a 2-2 draw at Exeter City and former Stoke City youth team player James Alabi came off the bench to play for the visitors.

Both Kwame Poku and Brandon Wiredu were introduced in the second-half by Colchester when they lost 1-0 to Forest Green.

English-born Ghanaian Alex Addai came off the bench on the 61st minute to help Cheltenham Town to a 2-0 away win over Salford.

Meanwhile in the National League, Ghanaian duo of Nana Ofori-Twumasi and Bernard Mensah played for Maidenhead when they lost 1-0 to Barnet.

Striker Immanuelson Duku lasted 78 minutes for Torquay in their 1-0 loss to Chesterfield on Saturday.

Danish-born Ghanaian striker Justin Kwabena Shaibu was left on the Boreham Wood squad when they recorded a 0-0 draw with Harrogate.

Ghanaian midfielder Godfrey Poku was in action for Woking in their 2-2 draw with Ebbsfleet.

In the National League North, former Birmingham City striker Akwasi Asante scored a hat-trick for Chester in their 3-1 away win over AFC Telford.

Defender Yeboah Amankwaah played in central defence for Manchester City U23 when Wolves U23 defeated them 2-1.

Tariq Lamptey and Callum Hudson-Odoi were in action for Chelsea U23 when they posted a 2-1 win over Brighton U23.

Zico Asare came off the bench in the 65th minute to play for Fulham U23 in their 1-0 away defeat to Manchester United U23.

In the U18 Premier League, Finnish-born Ghanaian Terry Ablade scored for Fulham U18 in their 5-1 win over Southampton U18.

English-born Kwaku Oduroh came off the bench in the second-half to play for Manchester City U18 when they won 5-2 against Liverpool U18. Jarell Quansah was left out of the Liverpool squad for the game.

Promising lateral defender Harold Essien excelled for Middlesbrough U18 in their 2-0 win over Wolverhampton U18. Jed Abbey also played in defence for the losers.

Former Chelsea U18 player Paul Appiah warmed the bench for Aston Villa U18 in their 2-1 away win over Norwich City U18.

Young striker Enoch Asante scored one of the consolation goals for Tottenham Hotspur U1 in their 3-2 loss to West Ham United U18. Ghanaian midfielder Keenan Appiah-Forson also starred in midfield for the young Hammers.

Leicester City U18 posted a slender 1-0 win over Arsenal U18 and Ghanaian kid Dennis Gyamfi played for the winners while Johnson Gyamfi was unused by the hosts.

Striker Lynford Sackey started in attack for Reading U18 as they claimed a 3-1 win over Swansea U18.

FRANCE

French-born Ghanaian starlet Enock Kwateng played as a lateral defender for Bordeaux and excelled as they brushed aside Metz 2-0 on Saturday. John Boye captained the losers in the game.

France-born Dennis Appiah was an unused substitute by Nantes in their 1-0 win over Stade de Reims.

Le Havre and FC Paris shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw and Ghanaian midfielder Rabiu Mohammed was sent off on his debut game for Paris while attacker Ebenezer Assifuah came off the bench to play for the home side.

Goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi warmed the bench for Sochaux in their 0-0 draw with Valenciennes on Friday. Ghanaian defender Emmanuel Ntim didn’t make the Valenciennes squad for the game.

GERMANY

Wolfsburg held Fortuna Dusseldorf to a 1-1 draw at the Merkur Spiel-Arena. Ghanaian defender Kasim Nuhu came off the bench in the 83rd minute to play for the home side. Duo Kelvin Ofori and Bernard Tekpetey warmed the bench for them while Nana Opoku Ampomah missed the game with injury.

Schalke 04 disciplined Paderborn by hammering them 5-1 at their own backyard. Ghanaian Philimon Tawiah is still out injured and missed the game for Paderborn.

Kingsley Schindler warmed the FC Koln bench in their 1-0 home loss to Borussia Monchengladbach.

Swedish international of Ghanaian descent Robin Quaison scored the opening goal for Mainz 05 in their 2-1 win over Hertha Berlin.

Wales international of Ghanaian descent Ethan Ampadu warmed the bench for Reb Bull Leipzig in their 1-1 home draw with Bayern Munich.

In the Bundesliga II, Greuther Furth handed Wehen their 5th defeat of the season after beating them 2-1 at the Sportpark Ronhof Thomas Sommer on Friday. Ghanaian midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyereh was in action for the entire period of the game for the losers while midfielder Hans Sarpei Nunoo starred for the winners.

Midfielder David Atanga was a bench warmer for Holstien Kiel in their 3-0 loss to Heidenheim.

In the Liga 3, Manfred Osei Kwadwo warmed the bench for Magdeburg when they drew 1-1 with Duisburg.

Striker Okyere Kwasi Wriedt was in action for 90 minutes for Bayern II but fired blank in their 2-2 draw with Grossaspach.

Leroy Kwadwo was brought on in the 78th minute by Wurzburger Kickers in their 2-1 win over Mannheim.

Forward Prince-Osei Owusu warmed the bench for 1860 Munich when they won 3-1 against visiting Jena.

SPAIN

Real Mallorca and Athletic Bilbao shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw in the La Liga on Friday. Defender Baba Rahman started and played full throttle for the hosts while midfielder Issah Abass played in midfield. Lumor Agbenyenu was axed from the squad.

Mubarak Wakaso was booked in the 90th minute for fighting as he lasted the entire period for Alaves who lost 1-0 against Sevilla.

Kumasi-born Mohammed Salisu played the entire game in defence for Real Valladolid when they were held to a 1-1 draw by visiting Osasuna.

Black Stars defender Joseph Aidoo was a full timer for Celta de Vigo when they slipped to a 2-0 home loss to Granada with 9 men.

Real Sociedad were happy campers with a 2-0 home win over Atletico de Madrid. Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey missed the game with a thigh injury.

In the Segunda Division, attacker Arvin Appiah was left out of the Almeria squad in their 3-0 away win over Las Palmas.

Midfielder Richard Boateng was sent off while in action for Alcorcon in their 1-1 draw with Ponferradina.

AUSTRIA

Italian passport holder Kelvin Yeboah came off the bench to play for Tirol when they won 2-0 against Mattersburg on Saturday. Felix Adjei was left out of the winners’ squad for the match.

Seth Paintsil lasted 65 minutes for Admira in their 5-0 loss to Rapid Vienna in the Bundesliga.

Majeed Ashimeru was left out of the Red Bull Salzburg squad for their 7-2 win over Hartberg.

Former Inter Milan defender Isaac Donkor warmed the bench for Sturm Graz in their 2-0 loss to LASK Linz. However youngster Winfred Amoah was left out of their squad but attacker Samuel Tetteh lasted the entire period for the winners.

Ghanaian defender Kennedy Boateng played in central defence for Ried when they drew 0-0 with Austria Vienna II. Striker Reuben Acquah warmed the bench for the away.

Former Ghana U20 captain Issahaku Konda played only 47 minutes for FC Juniors while Gabriel Awuni failed to make their squad in their heavy 5-0 loss to BW Linz.

BELGIUM

Ghana U23 winger Joseph Paintsil lasted 43 minutes for Genk who lost 2-1 against Sporting Charleroi in the Pro League.

Zulte-Waregem held KAS Eupen to a 1-1 draw. Ghana U23 defender Gideon Mensah warmed the bench for Waregem while Ghana youth goalkeeper Abdul Manaf Nurudeen didn’t make the Eupen squad for the game.

Anderlecht suffered yet another blow when Antwerp beat them 2-1 at their own backyard. While Daniel Opare missed the game with injury Jeremy Doku came off the bench to play for the losers while Derrick Luckassen and Francis Amuzu were unused.

Ghanaian trio of Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe, Elisha Owusu and Nana Asare all played for Gent and helped them to record a comfortable 3-0 win over KV Mechelen.

Royal Mouscron recorded a 2-0 win over Kortrijk with Ghanaian Jonah Osabutey starting in attack for the winners while Eric Ocansey also started for the losers. Both players were replaced in the second-half by their respective clubs.

Sint-Truiden and Waasland-Beveren drew 1-1 in an entertaining game. Ghanaian pair of Elton Acolatse and Samuel Asamoah started for Truiden while Thomas Agyepong also played for Waasland-Beveren.

Midfielder Godfred Donsah played 72 minutes for Cercle Brugge when they slipped to a 2-0 home loss to Club Brugge KV.

In the second-tier league, Ghanaian attacker Said Ahmed Said came off the bench in the 61st minute mark to play for Lokeren in their 1-1 draw with Westerlo.

Leicester City loanee Kamal Sowah was in action for OH Leuven when they held St. Gilloise to a 1-1 draw.

BULGARIA

Dutch-born Ghana attacker Rodney Antwi scored one of the consolation goals for Tsarsko Selo who lost 3-2 against Lok. Plovdiv.

Defender Samuel Inkoom warmed the bench for Dunav Ruse in their 0-0 draw with Slavia Sofia on Sunday.

Attacker Nasiru Mohammed was brought on in the second-half by Levksi Sofia during their 3-0 win over Cherno More.

CANADA

Midfielder Edem Mortotsi played for Edmonton when they lost 1-0 to Pacific FC.

York9 suffered a 4-2 loss to Valour and Swedish-born Ghanaian Simon Adjei was in action for the losers while Raphael Ohin also played for the winners.

Kwame Awuah was booked in the 55th minute and played 65 minutes for Forge when they drew 2-2 with HFX Wanderers.

CROATIA

Dinamo Zagreb posted a 1-0 win over Istra 1961. Former Asante Kotoko youth team player Obeng Regan played until the last 14 minutes of normal time for Istra.

Attacker Maxwell Boadu Acosty was subbed on the hour mark by Rejika when they drew 1-1 with Hajduk Split.

DENMARK

Danish-born Ghanaian attacker Danny Amankwaa came off the bench in the 80th minute to play for Sonderjyske when they drew 0-0 with Horsens in the Superliga.

Striker Dauda Mohammed was in action for 90 minutes for Esbjerg but Emmanuel Oti couldn’t make their squad when Randers FC beat them 3-0.

Emmanuel Sabbi hit the back of the net for Hobro in their surprising 2-1 win over giants FC Copenhagen.

Brondby whipped Nordsjaelland 4-2 and Ghanaian Isaac Atanga scored one of the consolation goals for the losers. Abdul Mumin, Godsway Donyoh, Francis Abu and Kudus Mohammed all played for the losers. But Sadiq Ibrahim wasn’t part of their squad.

FINLAND

Samba Sillah started the game for VPS when they held SJK to a 1-1 draw in the Veikkausliiga on Friday.

Both Ishmael Yartey and Isaac Telly Shaze were in action for 10-man KPV Kokkola when they succumbed to a 3-1 away loss to HIFK.

Former Liberty Professional midfielder Brite Andoh scored a brace for AC Kajaani in their 5-4 defeat to KTP on Saturday in the second-tier league. Former Ghana U20 midfielder Derrick Mensah also played for the losers while Thomas Agyiri was in action for the winners.

Striker Solomon Duah was brought on the 21st minute mark by TPS in their 0-0 draw with AC Oulu.

Midfielder Nelson Appiah was booked and played for MiPK when they lost 1-0 against Viikingit.

ITALY

Fiorentina held Juventus to a 0-0 draw at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. Ghanaian Kevin-Prince Boateng came off the bench on the 69th minute to replace Franck Ribery in Florence.

Midfielder Alfred Duncan assisted a goal and lasted 84 minutes for Sassuolo when they lost 4-2 against AS Roma.

Italian-born Ghanaian Claud Adjapong warmed the bench for Hellas Verona in their 1-0 home loss to AC Milan while Emmanuel Agyeman Badu watched the game from the stands due to illness.

Kwadwo Asamoah played in a 5-man midfield for Inter Milan in their 2-0 win over Udinese at the Guiseppe Meazza. Ghana U23 defender Nicholas Opoku played the entire game for Udinese.

Ghanaian attacker Emmanuel Gyasi played upfront for Spezia in their slender 1-0 away loss to Pordenone.

Meanwhile former AC Milan player Kingsley Boateng was introduced on the 77th minute mark by Juve Stabia when they held Perugia to a 0-0.

NETHERLANDS

Dutch-born Myron Boadu scored a brace for AZ Alkmaar to help them to a 5-1 win over Sparta Rotterdam. German-born Ghanaian Ragnar Ache was brought on before the start of the second-half by the losers.

Dutch-born defender Robin Polley didn’t make the De Haag squad for their 3-2 loss to Feyenoord on Sunday.

John Yeboah Zamora scored the opener for VVV Venlo as they won 2-1 against visiting FC Groningen. Dutch-born Ghanaian forward Johnathan Opoku Agyemang missed the game with an Achilles Tendon Injury.

Striker Cody Gakpo came off the bench to play for PSV Eindhoven in their massive 5-0 win over Vitesse Arnhem.

Striker Issah Abass came off the bench to play the last 10 minutes for Utrecht in their 2-1 win over FC Emmen.

Ghanaian defender Leeroy Owusu was in action for Graafschap who fought from 2 goals down to claim a 4-2 win over Jong Ajax.

PORTUGAL

Vitoria Guimaraes won 5-1 against visiting Aves and Ghanaian trio of Alhassan Wakaso, Joseph Mensah and Henry Mendarious all missed the game with various decree of injuries.

Striker Kwame Nsor led the attacking lines for Feirense when they managed a 1-0 win over Chaves.

Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Godfried Ayesu Owusu Frimpong was in action for Benfica B in their 0-0 draw with Academica Viseu.

QATAR

Ghanaian midfielder Lawrence Awuley Quaye Junior was in action for Umm-Salal who lost 5-1 to visiting Al Arabi in the Star League.

ROMANIA

Ghanaian striker Richard Gadze was in action for FC Voluntari when CFR Cluj posted a 5-0 win over them in the top-flight on Friday.

SLOVENIA

Ghanaian midfielder Arafat Mensah Ibrahim was introduced on the 71st minute by Bravo when they claimed a massive 4-1 win over Rudar in the top-tier league.

SWEDEN

Former Asante Kotoko striker Abdul Safiu Fatawu powered Trellesborg to a 1-0 win over Orgryte. However his Ghanaian compatriot Dennis Agyare Antwi was unused by the winners.

Ghanaian midfielder Enock Kwakwa played for Jonkopings when they beat Osters 2-0.

Both Thomas Boakye and Sadat Karim were in action for Halmstad when they drew 1-1 with GAIS.

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Midfielder Ebenezer Ofori recovered from injury to play the last 29 minutes for New York City FC in their 2-1 win over San Jose Earthquakes.

Charles Sapong scored a brace for Chicago Fire in their 4-0 hammering of FC Dallas. Dutch-born Ghanaian Johan Kappelhof was in action for 90 minutes for the winners but winger Edwin Gyasi failed to make the squad for the losers.

Jonathan Mensah captained Columbus Crew to a 3-1 away win over Atlanta United. Harrison Afful also played for the winners but David Accam was unused while American international of Ghanaian descent Gyasi Zardes scored for the winners.

Former Dortmund midfielder Joseph Claude-Gyau played for FC Cincinnati and helped them to a 1-0 win over Montreal Impact.

Latif Blessing was booked on the 78th minute mark while in action for Los Angeles FC in their 1-1 away draw with Philadelphia Union.

Ghanaian midfielder Gideon Waja was in action for 90 minutes for Toronto FC II in their 3-2 win over Orlando City B.

Kwadwo Poku and Dominic Oduro were both in action for Tampa Bay in their home win over Atlanta United 2.

Defender Ebenezer Ackon was rock solid at the back for San Antonio when they posted a 3-1 win over Oklahoma City Energy.

New Mexico won 3-1 against Colorado Spring and Ghanaian Rashid Tetteh was a pillar at the back for the winners while Kwasi Donsu was introduced in the second-half by the winners with Ibrahim Yaro unused by them.

Owusu Ansah Kontor played in central defence for Orange County SC in their 2-0 home win over El Paso.

Attacker Solomon Asante scored his 22nd goal of the season for Phoenix Rising in their 4-1 hammering of LA Galaxy 2. Former Ghana U20 defender Geoffrey Acheampong was replaced at half-time by the losers.

New York Red Bull II posted a 2-0 win over Charlotte Independ. on Friday night. Ghanaian goalkeeper Rashid Nuhu warmed the bench for the winners while defender Roy Boateng came off the bench to play for the winners while Dominic Oduro was also introduced late in the game by the losers.

Former Asante Kotoko player Elvis Amoh came off the bench to play for Loudoun in their 2-1 home loss to Memphis.

Ghanaian trio of Anderson Asiedu, Razak Cromwell and Prosper Kasim were all in action for Birmingham when they suffered a 2-0 home loss to Saint Louis FC. Ghanaian Oscar Umar came off the bench to play for the winners.

BELARUS

Ghanaian winger Saliu Babawo was a bench warmer for Dinamo Brest in their 2-0 win over FC Minsk.

Midfielder Seidu Yahaya helped Dinamo Minsk to record a 2-1 win over Slutsk on Sunday.

Ghanaian attacker Francis Narh scored one of the goals for Slavia Mozyr when they drew 2-2 with Energetik-BGU.

CZECH REPUBLIC

Ghana winger Emmanuel Antwi was introduced on the 46th minute by Pribram who lost 6-0 to Mlada Boleslav.

Benjamin Tetteh scored the opening goal for Sparta Prague in their 2-0 away win over Zlin on Sunday afternoon.

HUNGARY

Defender Abraham Frimpong excelled in central defence for Ferencvaros as they won 4-0 against Paks.

ISRAEL

Ghanaian duo of Divine Naah and Eugene Ansah were in action for Hapoel Raanana who suffered a huge 4-0 loss to Hapoel Hadera.

Former Aduana Star defender Emmanuel Boateng played in midfield for Hapoel Tel Aviv in their 1-1 draw with Nes Tziona.

Midfield Gershon Koffie was introduced on the 46th minute mark by Hapoel Kfar Saba when Maccabi Tel Aviv whipped them 1-0.

LATVIA

Ghanaian player Young Obotu played for BFC Daugavpils when they shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw with Valmiera on Saturday. Former Asante Kotoko defender Michael Ofosu-Appiah and Prince Agyemang played for Valmiera.

MALTA

Former Inter Milan Primavera player Isaac Ntow Tuah played for Birkirkara who drew 3-3 with Balzan.

SAUDI ARABIA

Ghanaian winger Samuel Owusu played for Al Feiha and helped them to draw 1-1 with Al-Hilal in the Saudi Professional League on Saturday.

SCOTLAND

Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Jeremie Frimpong didn’t make the Celtic squad for their 1-0 away win over Hamilton.

SERBIA

Striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom wasn’t a component of the Red Star Belgrade side that left it late to win 2-1 over FK Indjija.

SLOVENIA

Trencin slipped to a 2-1 loss to Michalovce. Ghana U23 winger Osman Bukari was in action for 90 minutes for the losers while Lamine Moro was unused by them.

Saddam Sulley and Edmund Addo were in the Senica team that lost 1-0 to Dun. Streda.

Defender Benson Anang conspicuously missed out of Zilina’s 0-0 draw with Z. Moravce.

SOUTH AFRICA

Amazulu held Golden Arrows to a 1-1 drawn game. Ghanaian midfielder Samuel Darpoh sat on the Amazulu bench.

Striker Anas Mohammed was left out of the Polokwane City squad when they beat Kaizer Chiefs 1-0.

SWITZERLAND

Swiss-born Ghanaian Kwadwo Duah came off the bench on the 70th minute to play for Wils when FC Zurich beat them 2-1 in the Swiss Cup.

TURKEY

Ghanaian midfielder Isaac Cofie starred in midfield for Sivasspor in their 1-1 draw with Basaksehir on Saturday.

Bernard Mensah starred in midfield for Kayesirspor in their 2-2 draw with Antalyaspor.

Patrick Twumasi and Raman Chibsah both scored for Gaziantep when they beat Besiktas 3-2. Aziz Tetteh also flourished in midfield for the winners.

Former Ghana U20 midfielder Kamal Issah Sissoko was sent off while in action for Eskisehirspor who lost 4-1 against Altinordu.

UKRAINE

Ghana youth international Najeeb Yakubu came off the bench on the 65th minute mark to play for Vorskla Poltava when they lost 2-1 to Karpaty.

CHINA

Winger Frank Acheampong scored one of the goals for Tianjin Teda when they trounced Shanghai Shenhua 3-0 on Sunday in the Super League.

Emmanuel Boateng played the full 90 minutes for Dalian Yifang in their 1-0 loss to Wuhan Zall.

CYPRUS

Former Atletico de Madrid youth team player Benjamin Akoto Asamoah played for Doxa in their 1-1 draw with Achnas.

Ernest Agyiri climbed off the bench to score the consolation goal for Paralimni in their 2-1 loss to Anorthosis.
