Ghanaian attacker, Charles Nana Sarpong was adjudged Man-Of-The-Match in Chicago Fire FC clash with DC United in the MLS.
The Ghanaian forward scored an early goal to settle the nerves for the host on the 3rd minutes of the match inside the box following a free kick from Álvaro Medran at the right side of attack to make it 1-0 to the home team.
Boris Sekulic scored on the edge of the half time whistle to put the host 2-0 up before heading into the dressing room.
After the break, the visitors surged forward looking for a breakthrough and got their reward when Jonathan Bornstein scored an own goal 11 minutes into the second half.
Sarpong remained a constant threat to the visitors defense and was awarded with the MVP accolade after the game.
Chicago Fire FC won the game by a 2-1 score line.
