Turkish TFF First League outfit Bursaspor Hapoel have completed the signing of Dutch-born Ghanaian winger Elton Acolatse.
The forward joins Bursaspor on loan for one season from Israeli side Beer Sheva.
The attacker left Israel a few days ago with the club’s consent, for quick negotiations with the team that plays in the second division in Turkey. The transfer window in Turkey shuts on September 8 and therefore quick contacts were needed.
The 26-year-old winger was loaned to Hapoel Beer Sheva from Belgian side St. Troiden ahead of the closing of the winter transfer window in the 2019/20 season.
He helped the Reds win the state cup and after some impressive performances, the club decided to exercise the purchase option.
Following negotiations with St. Troyden, the Belgians agreed to lower the price which eventually hovered around half a million euros.
Acolatse opened last season with a storm and excelled in the Europa League with a brace against Slavia Prague and Bayer Leverkusen, but as the season progressed, there was a drastic decline in his form.
He finished the season with a just one league goal, forcing Hapoel Beer Sheva to loan him to the Turkish club.
