Ghanaian striker John Antwi has been suspended for three games by the Egyptian FA after he was sent off in Misr El Makkasa fixture against Zamalek.
The Ghana marksman, was shown a straight red card in the dying moments of the game for punching Baha’a Magdi as the White Knights defeated Misr El Makkasa 1-0 in the third fixture of the Egyptian Premier League.
After reviewing the referee’s match report, the Egyptian Football Association competitions committee handed the 26-year-old striker a three-game suspension given that the player intentionally hit Magdi.
In similar news, the committee imposed a 20,000 Egyptian Pounds fine on both Ittihad of Alexandria and Ismaily SC following unacceptable behavior from some of the players of the two clubs.
