Ghanaian striker Raymond Asante has been unveiled as the latest addition to Patro Eisden Maasmechelen’s squad, strengthening their attacking options for the second half of the season.
The 21-year-old striker arrives from Sporting Charleroi, where he has been on the books since 2025 and made his first appearances in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League. Before moving to Belgium, Asante gained valuable experience in Italy with Udinese, further shaping his development in European football.
Head coach Stijn Stijnen is pleased with the new signing and believes Asante can raise the level of competition in the forward line. “Raymond will bring competition up front. We believe in his potential,” he said, underlining the club’s faith in the young attacker’s qualities and room to grow.
Asante will likely feature in Patro’s game against Jong KRC Genk U23 in the Belgian Challenger Pro League, offering fans an early look at what he can bring to the team.
