SC Rheindorf Altach coach Alex Pastoor is impressed with Ghanaian teen Nana Kofi Babil’s exploits the Austrian Bundesliga, stating that the promising forward ‘surprises us every day’
The 18-year-old is in line to play first competitive game for the side after being in the matchday squad for the home match against FK Austria Wien at the Cash Point Arena, Altach.
The former Medeama forward is back to full fitness after being put through an intensive training regime.
SC Rheindorf Altach opted not to rush him into the Austrian Bundesliga since he arrived from Ghanaian side Medeama.
He was an unused substitute as they suffered a 3-1 defeat at Rapid Wien last week.
And the club’s coach Alex Pastoor, who missed the ÖFB Cup match for family reasons, has been touting the quality of the highly-rated speedster.
“Daniel Maderner is on a very good path and Kofi Babil surprises us every day. I like players who do unforeseen things. There aren’t that many of them in the Austrian Bundesliga. Kofi could be such a player.” he told the club’s official website.
SCR Altach are favourites after winning 13 duels against FK Austria Wien – more than any team in the top-flight.
