The former Black Starlets midfielder has begun training with his new club in the ongoing Spanish Segunda Division.
Koufie, 18, trained for the first time with his colleagues at the Leganes training centre on Tuesday.
He has teamed to get himself in top shape for the new Campaign after joining them from Ghanaian Second division side Golden Kick Sporting Club.
“It’s a good club for my improvement as a player. They are very tactical and nothing less. As a player, I have to work to help the team. There are lots of talents from all over here,” Koufie exclusively told SPORTSworldGhana.com.
“It’s a nice city with lots of potentials. It’s a good place for player development. It’s hard because I trained in the evening and I was freezing. I was freezing and couldn’t feel my hands and legs”
“If you’re not tactical they hate it so I tried my best to adapt soon. They understood me because it’s a new environment for me”
He joined the Spanish Club CD Leganes on a season-long loan deal and has an option to make the deal permanent if he impresses.
Koufie is expected to play a key role in CD Leganes team this season as they are targeting a quick return to the top-flight after the 2020/21 Campaign after suffering relegation last season.
