English-born Ghanaian teenage defender Kwaku Oduroh was solid in defense for Manchester City in their 4-2 win against Liverpool in the English U18 Premier League on Saturday afternoon at the Manchester City Academy Stadium.
Nigerian youngster Tai Sodje shot Manchester City ahead after 14 minutes into the game but Layton Stewart restored parity for Liverpool in the 28th minute through a spot-kick.
In the 44th minute, Micah Hamilton struck to again put Man City in front but that didn’t last long as Layton Stewart scored five minutes later from the spot to make it 2-2 for Liverpool.
Manchester City were not broken-hearted by Layton Stewart 50th goal as they upped their performance and started to mount thunderous attack on Liverpool in an attempt to get the match-winner.
They finally got what they needed badly in the 77th-minute mark of the match through Tai Sodje who was scoring his second goal in the crucial tie before Alexander Robertson increased the tally to 4-2 on stoppage time.
Meanwhile, his compatriot Darko Gyabi was an unused substitute in the game.
