Ghana Premier League side Bechem United wonder-kid Clinton Duodu is set to travel to the United Kingdom to sign up for England and Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard academy.
According to the President of Bechem United FC, Mr. Kingsley Owusu Achau, the 16-year-old exceptional talent is joining the Steve G academy to continue with his development.
“We have planned a proper educational system for him in the UK because he is a young player so he cannot abandon education and solely focus on football,” he disclosed to Asempa FM.
“He will join the Steven Gerrard academy where he will be able to play and study in school at the same time,” he said.
Duodu, 16, burst unto the domestic scene last season when he featured for the Hunters in the Ghana Premier League and caught the attention of many football pundits and scouts with excellent performances.
The youngster featured in five matches and won one man of the match award, coming in the game against Elmina Sharks.
The Ghanaian wonder-kid, Duodu, will have access to best of facilities that can help him reach his full potential in the UK as he continues with his education as well.
