Ghanaian traditional wrestler Welbeck Olivierra Aryeh is pleading with government to settle his unpaid bonuses and allowances accrue from competing for Ghana in international events.
The Accra based athlete together with some wrestlers were promised undisclosed sums of monies as bonuses and per diems after competing in international events in recent years.
Ayeh who is an employee of the national sports authority for the past five years is currently facing ejection from the NSA complex at Kaneshie wants government to settle his financial rewards due him .
“I am pleading with the sports ministry and the national authority boss Majeed Bawa that if they don’t have a loan for me or they don’t have money for me, what I have worked for is what I am asking for so that I can use it to go and rent a new place for my family”
“Now I have packed my things but where to move is now monetary issue because I don’t have enough money to go a rent a new place” he told Starr Sports
“ So my problem is that my per diem, my allowances, my overtime and my accident compensation have all not been paid all these years and even if they can’t get all at least half of it ,I will gladly accept it because now I am not a happy man at all and that is the gospel fact “Aryee added.
