Ghanaian midfielder, Edmund Addo was in action for Moldovan giants FC Sheriff Tiraspol on Wednesday evening in the UEFA Champions League elimination round.
The former FC Senica player starred in his team’s victory over Armenia side Alashkert FC to book a place in the 2021-22 UEFA Champions League playoffs spot.
Addo played the entire duration of the match to help his side beat their opponents by a 3-1 scoreline on the evening and 4-1 on aggregate following their first-leg 1-0 win in Armenia a week ago.
The visitors struck first to take an early lead through Aleksandar Glisic but two quick goals from Gustavo Dulanto and Luvannor on the 15th and 23rd minutes respectively turned things around for the home team before the end of the first half.
Sebastien Thill made it 3-1 with a spot kick from the spot three minutes away from full time to seal a playoff spot for the Yellow and Blues.
