Dutch-born Ghanaian teenage attacker Ernest Poku is full of excitement after playing his maiden UEFA Europa league game for Dutch Eredivisie side AK Alkmaar.
The promising attacking midfielder who was drafted to the senior team this campaign, was included in the matchday squad on Wednesday to face Scottish giants Celtic FC in the Europa league qualifiers by manager Pascal Jansen.
Poku, 17, was introduced into the game in the 10th-minute mark to replace Evangelos Pavlidis.
Kyogo Furuhshai opened the scoring for the hosts after twelve minutes mark on the clock before James Forest added the second goal in the 61st minute to give Celtic a 2-0 home victory.
Poku also played his debut Eredivisie game for AZ Alkmaar in their 1-0 defeat to RKC Waalwijk on Saturday 14th August, 2021
