Ghanaian talented youngster Jesurun Rak-Sakyi has joined the senior team of English Premier League side Crystal Palace for pre-season for the upcoming season.
Rak-Sakyi who made Palace senior team squad for a premier league game against Chelsea has been included in the team’s pre-season squad as they intensify preparations for the upcoming season.
Roy Hodgson before the season ended said the 18-year-old has “a big future” in South London.
The attacking midfielder who again made the trip to Goodison Park for the clash against Everton but did not feature in the matchday squad will be hoping to make his Premier League debut this season after signing his first professional contract with the club with the promise of being handed some playing minutes.
Hodgson in April, 2021 said that the club have high hopes for the youngster following a highly impressive spell training with the first team, and senior players have taken note of his talent.
He said: “For such a young man he’s shown remarkable maturity and a remarkable sangfroid as well, coming into a group of senior players that he’s probably only watched from the terraces before.
“You wouldn’t notice that with his performances in the training sessions where he’s really taken the responsibility that he’s capable of taking and everyone’s taken to him and been appreciative of him and what he can do.
“It’s nice that we’ve been able to have him with us in a situation where a vacancy has occurred because we have enough senior players out of the squad to not fill our 20-man quota. I’m very pleased with him, and very pleased for him.

“We believe at Crystal Palace he has a big future and he will get better. He’s certainly started in the right way. Because being thrown into first-team training – we still had eight or nine first-teamers with us last week – to come in and make the impression he’s made and get the senior players around him to appreciate his talents, that’s no mean achievement I think.
“I’m very pleased for him and he’ll be with us again tomorrow.”
