Ghanaian teen sensation Solomon Owusu Bonnah featured for German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig in their pre-season 2-1 defeat to French side Montpellier on Friday.
The Dutch-born promising defender was handed a starting berth by manager Jesse Marsch against the Ligue 1 side in the preparatory game for the upcoming season.
Alexander Soerloth opened the scoring for Leipzig in the 10th-minute mark of the game before Beni Makouana and Elye Wahi scored two quick goals in the 90+4 and 90+6 respectively to snatch a late 2-1 victory for Montpellier.
Bonnah, 18, was signed from Ajax in the summer of 2019 with RB Leipzig Under 19 team, got promoted to the senior team by former manager Julian Nagelsmann following his impressive display.
The talented right-back was born to Ghanaian parents in Amsterdam and has already featured for the Netherlands at Under 17 and 19 levels though he is still eligible to play for Ghana.
