Ghana defender Daniel Amartey was not used by manager Brendan Rodgers in Leicester City’s 4-2 home win against Waford on Sunday.
The Black Stars defender had appeared in the last five matches of Leicester City until Sunday’s drop as Rodgers named central defenders Jonny Evans and Soyuncu in his starting line.
The 26-year old has seen plenty of football actions this season making fourteen appearances so far.
The former Copenhagen defender earned a controversial penalty for the Black Stars in Ghana’s 1-0 win over South Africa during a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Cape Coast, a match the South Africans are contesting against at FIFA citing match manipulation by the referee Maguette Ndiaye from Senegal.
