After banging in a brace for his club on opening day in the Swiss second , the 23-year-old was voted the MVP of the match.
Abubakar-Ankrah opened the scoring in the first half after 11 minutes of action to put the host 1-0 up in the first half.
He again scored in the second half from the spot to propel the Gold and Greens to a 3-1 home win to start the season on a high after a monstrous season in the last campaign.
