Ghanaian forward, Asumah Abubakar-Ankrah provided his first assist in the Swiss Super League on Saturday afternoon in FC Lugano’s comeback win over giants FC Basel.
The Ghanaian was a second half substitute as he came on to replace Akos Kecskes at the beginning of the second round when his team was trailing by a lone goal.
Fifteen minutes after his introduction to the match, the Ghanaian provided a crucial assist to set up teammate, Sandi Lovric to level matters for the home team from close range on the 60th-minute mark.
Fourteen minutes to the end of the game, Lovric set up Mattia Bottani to score the winner for Lugano who came from a goal down to beat the Swiss Super League giants by a 2-1 scoreline.
The 23-year-old predator finisher has been involved in 13 matches for Lugano since his move from SC Kriens and has two goals and one assist to his name.
