Ghanaian youngster, Arvin Appiah was on the score sheet for UD Ameria in the Spanish Copa del Ray on Wednesday evening.
The 19-year-old Ghanaian versatile forward scored his first goal of the season for Almeria as they thrashed CE L’Hospitalet away from home.
After a dominant display by the Spanish La Liga 2 team in the opening exchanges of the match,Cristian Olivera set up Appiah who finished with his right foot to net the game’s opening goal to put Almeria in the lead.
On the 66th minute, Appiah was replaced by Daniel Albiar at the time his team was in a 2-1 lead.
Almeria scored twice on the 89th and 90th minute respectively to record an emphatic 4-1 over their opponents to progress to the next stage of the Copa del Ray competition.
