Ghana international Baba Abdul Rahman finally made his debut for Stade Reims in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday in their 2-0 victory over Stade Rennes.
The left back who joined on loan from Chelsea in the January transfer window enjoyed full duration of the game as the home side clinched all three points.
Rahman was making his first competitive appearance after 68 days and excelled in the game.
The 24-year-old left Schalke after a disappointing second loan spell with the Royal Blues, where he last played a competitive game for the club in the champions league against Lokomotiv Moscow.
Stade Reims took the lead after two minutes of possessive football through forward Boulaye Dia.
Remi Oudin, however, doubled the lead in the second half with a left footed racket shot in the 68th minute.
The win sends Stade Reims to seventh on the table ahead of OGC Nice with 38 points in 25 games.
The Black Stars defender will be expected to make the trip to Montepellier next Sunday after a brilliant debut.
