Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea and Division One League side Nania FC youth sides are set to compete in the 71st Edition of the Viareggio Cup in Italy, SportsworldGhana.com can report exclusively.
The tournament starts on 11th March, 2019 and ends on 27th March, 2019 and the two Ghanaian clubs have been selected to compete with top clubs across the globe.
The tournament will see clubs from England, Belgium, Brazil, Italy, China, USA, Uruguay etc battling for the ultimate prize.
Nania FC, housed in Group 5 will face Parma, Venice, and Euro LIAC New York from USA.
Berekum Chelsea, on the other hand, have been pitted in group 7 and will thus play against Italian giants AC Milan, Spezia FC and Carrarese Calcio all based in Italy.
The two Ghanaian clubs, SportsworldGhana.com understands will depart the Kotoko International Airport on 9th March, 2019 and have a day rest in Italy before the tournament starts on 11th March, 2019.
