Ghana’s defender Lalas Abubakar shines as Colorado pick point on the road at San Jose

Black Stars stalwart defender, Lalas Abubakar dazzled for Colorado Rapids FC in their 1-1 away draw with San Jose Earthquakes in the Major League Soccer.

The defender of last season for Colorado Rapids FC was in his elements as he swept the backline of his team perfectly despite the intense pressure mounted on them by the host to make sure the walked home with at least a point.

After a scoreless first half, Chris Wondolowski converted a 59th minutes spot-kick to put the host ahead in the game with just a little over half an hour to play for in the entertaining encounter.

Eight minutes to full time, the visitors’ effort in the match was rewarded with a goal as Kei Ansu Kamara found the back of the net to level matters for the visitors as they snatched a point very late in the game as it finished 1-1.
