Ghanaian defender Gideon Mensah’s search for a first win with Girondins Bordeaux will have to wait a bit longer after yet another draw.
Mensah, who was handed a starting berth for his maiden appearance last weekend, maintained his place in the team against Angers on Sunday.
Bordeaux took the lead early in the game through Sekou Mara, who made good use of Ricardo Mangas pass but the away side equalised on the 38th minute mark.
Mensah, on loan from Red Bull Salzburg lasted the whole minutes of the game as his side managed to hold on to record yet another, two in succession now.
Bordeaux now occupy the 15th position on the league table after three games played having amassed just two points.
The game also saw French born Ghanaian descent Enock Kwateng start for Bordeaux as one of the three centre-backs in a 5-3-2 formation for the home team.
