Egyptian national team head coach Hector Cuper has invited 11 foreign based-players, including Roma winger Mohamed Salah and Stoke City forward Ramadan Sobhi, to be part of the Pharaohs team to commence camping for the 2017 Cup of Nations to be held in Gabon.
The seven time African champions, will start their training camp for the 2017 Nations Cup on 1 January where they will face Tunisia in their only friendly game before the tournament starts seven days later.
Egypt will take on the Black Stars of Ghana, Mali and Uganda in Group D of the Nations Cup, which will be played in Gabon from 14 January to 5 February.
The Pharaohs recorded a 2-0 win over Ghana in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier and will be hoping once again whip Avram Grant’s in Gabon next year.
