Schlupp started a Premier League game for the first time since his injury layoff in March and rewarded his manager Roy Hodgson with a goal for believing in him.

Tottenham struck first through their captain Harry Kane in the first half as Spurs chased an Europa League spot.

On the 53rd minutes, Schlupp reacted first in the Tottenham box to score the equalizer for the Eagles who had gone three games without a goal in the English top-flight.

The 27-year-old left-footed midfielder’s goal was enough to earn a point for Palace to end a seven matches losing streak with a 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park.
