Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru starred again for his side RB Red Bull Salzburg as they picked a vital away point at the Generali Arena on Sunday in the Austria Bundesliga.
Ashimeru, 22, was at his quality best and lasted the full duration of the game with some superlative display throughout the game.
Salzburg took the lead at the Generali Arena through Patson Daka in the 7th minute before Christoph Monschein restored parity for the hosts after break with a fine strike in the 67th minute mark.
The visitors kept tormenting the home side and restored their lead three minutes later through Patson Daka as he bagged his brace in the crucial game.
His goal, however, could not seal victory for the away side as Erik Palmer-Brown struck in the 89th minute to clinch a point for Austria Wien at home.
Meanwhile, the Ghanaian international despite controlling the midfield with his intelligent passes went into the referee’s book after being receiving a yellow card in the 70th minute for an unsporting tackle.
Majeed Ashimeru was featuring for the Austrian giants after the break having suffered a light illness.
He has now recovered fully from the illness and ready to featured in all subsequent fixtures.
