Ghanaian defender, Richie Laryea has been selected onto the Major League Soccer in America Team-Of-The-Week.
The Ghanaian-born Canadian scored and provided assist in Toronto FC 3-1 victory at home to Columbus Crew over the weekend.
Laryea provided an assist for Alejandro Pozuelo to score Toronto’s second goal on the night after 59 minutes.
The 25-year-old grabbed his goal to inspire his team to beat their opponents by 3-1 at the Pratt and Whitney stadium.
Laryea has three goals and an assist in the MLS this season in the eight games he’s played this campaign.
Toronto sit third on the league table after 12 matches and are two points behind Ghanaian duo Jonathan Mensah and Harrison Afful’s Columbus Crew, a team they beat 3-1.
