After missing the last two games of AJ Auxerre due to injury, Gideon Mensah returned to action on Saturday as his side faced Lille in the French Ligue 1.
Mensah came off in the 26th minute of Auxerre’s fixture against Troyes after the international break and looked to be out for long after using crutches.
However, the left-back was in the starting lineup for Saturday’s game against Lille as Auxerre looked to distance themselves even further from the relegation battle.
The 24-year-old returned to training with his teammates earlier this week and felt no setback leading to his involvement against Lille.
