Ex-Dutch international George Boateng says he would welcome a move to become Coach of the Black Stars after Avram Grant’s exit.
The 41-year-old Boateng, who never got the chance to represent Ghana has expressed interest in the Stars job after the FA mutually parted ways with coach Avram Grant.
The former Middlesbrough and Hull City midfielder who is now the international relations representative for Bechem United insists he will be willing to lead the Stars if giving the opportunity.
“It is unfortunate I could never play for Ghana because I grew in the Netherland where I played for their junior side and senior National team as well,” he told reporters .
“But for me to give back to my native country I am ever ready to take up the role as the Black Stars Coach.
“Whenever I am being called to Coach the team I will be ever ready.”
