Sports and Recreation Minister, Kofi Adams, has disclosed that the government, in collaboration with the Ghana Football Association, successfully led negotiations to secure a favorable broadcasting rights arrangement for the Ghana Premier League.
The Minister explained that the new deal has brought direct financial relief to clubs, revealing that teams have already received an advance payment of one million Ghana cedis.
According to him, the arrangement is part of broader efforts to strengthen the domestic league, improve club finances, and ensure stability within Ghana’s top-flight football.
He emphasized that the improved broadcasting rights deal reflects the government’s commitment to working closely with football authorities to enhance the growth and commercial value of the Ghana Premier League.
