The Phobians gaffer is disappointed at his side’s failure to win their premier league game against AshantiGold SC.
Hearts of Oak drew 2-2 with the Miners when they played their first game of the 2020/21 season at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday.
A brace each from Kwame Obeng Junior and Hans Kwoffie ensured the game ended in a 2-2 stalemate.
Coach Edward Nii Odoom believes his team was wasteful upfront, a claim he says stopped them from winning the crucial game on the night.
“I am very disappointed about the result. Because this game is not a game of draw, we should have killed this game in the first half, even in the second half we created all the chances in the game,” Edward Odoom revealed during a post-match interview.
“I think a lack of concentration affected us, so I am very disappointed,” he concluded.
Hearts was playing their first game of the season after their season opener against Aduana Stars in Dormaa was postponed.
Hearts of Oak will next play Iiter Allies on match week 3 at the Accra Sports stadium.
