The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) is set to petition the GFA, PLB and the Inspector general of police in the wake of series on its members.
With just five round of games played in the Ghana premier league,some sports journalist have come under attack by fans at some various league centers.
Photo journalist Senyuidzorm Adadevor, on match day 4,was attacked and prevented by Great Olympics fans from taking pictures at Accra Sports Stadium because she captured Bechem United coach Vincenzo Anesse being hit by a missile from Olympics fans.
Other Journalists James Sowah and Felix Kwabena Romark were also molested, assaulted and denied access to the media center when Hearts played Aduana stars in Dormaa during a match week five fixture
“We have petitioned the GFA,PLB and the inspector general of police for measure to be taking to curb this menace ”
“If nothing is done and it continues,then we will have to advice our members to boycott the coverage of the Ghana premier league “General Secretary William Ezah told Starr Sports.
