Asante Kotoko came from a goal down to beat Liberty Professional 2-1 in the first week of the Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yare Sports Stadium.
The Porcupine warriors found themselves down in the 35th of the first half through Liberty’s Benjamin Eshun.
The visiting team had the better of the exchanging in the first department with Kotoko having difficulty dealing with Dansoman’s side.
Liberty could not hold onto Kotoko second half scintillating play. Kotoko effort paid off in the early stages of the second when Yakubu Mohammed scored from the spot to fetch the equalizer.
The Porcupine did not rest on their odds and managed to capitalize on Liberty’s lack of concentration and Yakubu Mohammed was on hand to cushion Kotoko’s lead from a swinger.
Aduana’s supremacy over Ashgold at the Dorman Park came to light with the miners tasting their first league defeat.
Ashgold have always look vulnerable any time they throng Dormaa Park and it was evident throughout the proceedings.
Daniel Sassraku second half strike was what the Aduana needed to secure their first league win.
